Job summary

Catapult Learning is seeking a part-time Tutor in Putnam, CT to provide contracted instructional services in reading, mathematics, and writing. You will work with students under the direction of the Company, supporting their academic growth with evidence-based strategies.

Responsibilities include diagnosing skill deficits, coordinating with school staff, communicating progress to parents, and maintaining lesson plans. The role offers development support and flexibility in schedule.

Qualifications

• Non-licensed tutors: associate degree or at least two years of college coursework (48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours).
• Licensed tutors: CT credentials recognized as a properly licensed teacher.
• Tutors must complete an FBI/BCI background check.
• Teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional methods.
• Consult with school personnel to coordinate services for students.
• Communicate progress to parents and conference as needed.
• Deliver instruction using Company-approved strategies in reading, math, and writing.
• Attend training and implement instructional models for readiness, reading, math, and/or writing.
