Job summary

Montgomery Public Schools is seeking a part-time Retired Teacher Tutor to support selected students who need targeted academic assistance.

You will provide tutoring, administer assessments, analyze data, and help develop interventions to improve student achievement. A valid Alabama teaching certification and a bachelor's degree or higher are required; background check and fingerprinting are mandatory with a $46.20 fee; salary is prorated by contract days for the school year.

Qualifications

• Must hold Alabama teaching certification and a bachelor's degree or higher.
• Teaching experience in a certified position is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in collecting and analyzing data as necessary.
• Assist in the completion of required reports and evaluations.
• Provide tutorial assistance to targeted students.
• Provide appropriate services to assist students achieving academically.
• Administer formal and informal assessments and develop and implement corresponding interventions.
• Communicate with students, parents, and educators concerning students' academic needs and progress.
• Establish a positive relationship with students, parents, and co-workers.
