Employment is contingent on passing the state background check and collaborating with instructors to foster college readiness.

The role operates during school-year and summer sessions, with hours typically 8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m., plus occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of equivalent college coursework (24 credits) and current enrollment in good academic standing.
• University may waive prerequisites with proven preparation for the role.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in integrating mathematics, reading, and writing skills.
• Maintain accurate academic records and program statistics.
• Help students develop communication, study, time management, and test-taking skills.
• Support preparation for state-mandated assessments (PARCC, PSAT, SAT, ACT).
• Attend required staff development and training sessions.
• Create a positive learning environment and encourage student engagement.
• Assist with standardized diagnostic and placement assessments.
• Implement emergency lesson plans in instructor's absence.
