Job summary

Four Seasons Napa Valley seeks a Turndown Attendant to join our luxury Housekeeping team. You will prepare guest rooms for turndown, refresh amenities, and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and guest comfort throughout the resort.

This part-time, on-site position requires attention to detail and English literacy; prior hotel housekeeping experience is preferred. We offer hourly pay, complimentary meals, and 401k retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience in a luxury hotel in Housekeeping or equivalent with Four Seasons or another organization.
• Knowledge and the ability to operate cleaning equipment.
• Ability to read and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Clean and/or refresh guest rooms as assigned by management and in accordance with hotel standards.
• Anticipate guest needs and take ownership of concerns and requests; act decisively to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Receive and complete guest requests such as extra pillows, blankets, towels, etc.
• Prepare unoccupied rooms for turndown for arriving guests.
• Close drapes, adjust lighting, play music, and restock towels/amenities.
• Report any damages or missing items to the supervisor/manager.
• Ensure equipment is clean and in good working order when not in use.
• Communicate room deficiencies and any early work completion to the supervisor.

About the role

The T urndown Attendant is an integral part of the Housekeeping Team who collectively is responsible for the cleanliness and attention to detail of the hotel and residences. The Turndown Attendant is responsible for ensuring all guest rooms/residences meet the highest standards as set by Four Seasons Hotels.

What you will do

• Clean and/or refresh guest rooms as assigned by management and in accordance with hotel standards. Complete deep cleaning of rooms as allocated by Supervisors/managers.
• Anticipates guest needs and takes ownership of guest concerns and requests; acts decisively to ensure guest satisfaction. Offers a special service touch when an opportunity is presented.
• Receive and complete all guest requests - extra pillows, blankets, towels, etc.
• Prepare unoccupied rooms for turndown for arriving guests.
• Close drapes, reduces lighting, turns music on, and prepares bed. Restock towels and used amenities such as shampoo, lotions, cotton balls, etc.
• Immediately report and hand into Housekeeping Office any property or guest keys found in ‘check out’ rooms.
• To keep linen rooms, tidy, correctly stocked and closed at all times when not in use. Must ensure working equipment is always clean, tidy and in good working order;
• Report to Supervisor/manager the rooms which do not require service or which have DND signs in his / her assigned area.
• Communicate/report room and resort deficiencies - missing items from rooms e.g. bathrobes, soap dishes. Also communicate to manager if work assignment is finished early for direction.
• Remove all garbage and recyclable items and place in the appropriate bins inside the service area.
• Report any damages/repairs/maintenance inserted in HotSOS or to manager.

What you bring
