Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Traverse City, MI is seeking a Part Time SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver to shuttle equipment between Ryder customer facilities. The role offers a local home daily schedule with a Monday–Friday work week and a flexible 7 AM start time, with weekly pay of $600 and an hourly rate of $20.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• This role primarily drives a commercial vehicle and adheres to DOT safety rules.
• Route: shuttle equipment between Ryder customer facilities; no-touch freight.
• Maintain logs and records as required; participate in safety training.

Weekly Pay $600 per week

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $20.00 Per Hour
• Home Time: Local - Home Daily
• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Start Time: Flexible (7AM start time)

All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800+ Maintenance Facilities

• Route: Shuttle Equipment between Ryder Customer Facilities
• Freight: No Touch - Empty Trailers for Equipment Shuttle Transfer Movement

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road testProvide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Important Note: Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Responsibilities

• This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a commercial vehicle and requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service

Additional Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records and logs Other tasks as assigned
