Job summary

The Austin Centers for Exceptional Students in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Part-Time Transportation Behavioral Support Technician to provide active behavioral support on our 15-passenger vans.

You will de-escalate, apply CPI techniques, and assist drivers to keep students safe during transport. Training is provided, and CPI, CPR/First Aid, and fingerprint clearance are required before starting. Competitive pay and benefits await.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPI certification required (or obtain within 60 days of hire at no cost).
• CPR and First Aid certification required prior to start (employer covers training and cost).
• Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card or willingness to complete employer-paid application.

Responsibilities

• Provide active behavioral support to students during transportation.
• Use verbal de-escalation strategies and CPI techniques to prevent escalation.
• Understand that student behavior is communication and intervene accordingly.
• Document all incidents and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with loading/unloading and vehicle safety checks; maintain cleanliness.
