Job summary

George Mason University’s Intercollegiate Athletics department seeks a Part-Time Assistant Track and Field Coach to support the Head Coach with organization, administration, and coaching for the Men’s and Women’s Track and Field program. This role includes coaching horizontal jumps and assisting with sprints/hurdles, while upholding GMU, Atlantic 10, and NCAA rules.

The position is 10-month, paid, non-benefitted, based in Fairfax, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• CPR and First Aid certified.
• 2+ years of high school or collegiate experience in horizontal jumps/sprints/hurdles.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be available to travel with the team on weekends.
• Background check and motor vehicle record check required.
• Valid vehicle operator’s license per Mason Vehicle Use Policy.
