Duke University Department of Athletics is seeking an Assistant Cross Country and Track and Field Coach to support the head coach in organizing, planning, and coaching within a Division I program.

The role emphasizes coaching student-athletes, developing training plans, and ensuring compliance with NCAA, ACC, and institutional rules. This is a non-recruiting, benefits-ineligible, part-time position with responsibilities including home meet management and ongoing program support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Prior coaching experience preferred at Division I level.
• Commitment to NCAA/ACC and institutional rules.
• CPR certification within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Coach with organization, planning and coaching within the program.
• Coach student-athletes and instruct fundamentals for cross country and track and field.
• Assist in scouting, practice planning, and preparation for meets.
• Maintain compliance documents and assist with home meet management.
