Job summary

Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, seeks a Temporary Title IX Coordinator to lead compliance with Title IX across education programs and activities.

Reporting to the Vice President for Equity and Inclusion, the coordinator works with the Deputy Title IX Coordinator, HR, Student Affairs, Public Safety, Counseling, Disability Services, and General Counsel while maintaining independence and privacy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• At least six years of professional Title IX or related experience.
• Knowledge of Title IX regulatory framework for postsecondary institutions.
• Experience handling sensitive reports with trauma-informed practices.
• Ability to maintain privacy and manage conflicts of interest.
• Strong organizational, writing, interviewing, documentation, and case-management skills.
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule up to 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Title IX compliance across education programs and activities.
• Maintain campus presence and awareness of reporting options and resources.
• Advise senior leadership on compliance risks and policy changes.
• Review and revise nondiscrimination policies and procedures.
• Receive reports, coordinate investigations, and manage resolution processes.
• Develop investigation plans and gather evidence; prepare reports.
