Job summary

Capital University is seeking a Title IX Coordinator to lead the University's efforts in creating a safe, equitable, and inclusive learning and working environment. You will oversee Title IX, bias incidents, and hazing prevention; coordinate investigations, hearings, and resolutions, and supervise a team of deputies and investigators.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Law, Social Work, Counseling, Public Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in Title IX, civil rights, compliance, student affairs, or a related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Title IX, VAWA, the Clery Act, FERPA, and related federal and state regulations.
• Experience conducting investigations, coordinating supportive measures, and managing complex, sensitive cases.
• Demonstrated commitment to trauma-informed, equitable, and student-centered practices.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, organizational, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment while maintaining confidentiality and impartiality.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the University's Title IX Coordinator and oversee compliance with Title IX, VAWA, the Clery Act, and related regulations.
• Coordinate prompt, trauma-informed responses to reports of sex discrimination, harassment, and related conduct.
• Coordinate supportive measures for complainants, respondents, and affected community members.
• Oversee investigations, informal resolutions, hearings, appeals, and case resolutions.
• Recruit, train, and supervise Deputy Title IX Coordinators, investigators, hearing officers, and decision-makers.
• Maintain policies, procedures, documentation, and institutional records to demonstrate compliance.
