Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools seeks an Associate, Instructional Title I to support students at West Charlotte High School. This part-time role assists teachers, reinforces instruction, and helps create a productive learning environment under supervision.

Responsibilities include small-group instruction, progress monitoring, material preparation, and collaboration with EITs. The position requires a relevant degree or education equivalency and prior experience with children is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to support students individually or in small groups.
• Familiarity with lesson materials and learning activities.
• Willingness to follow teacher and school guidelines.
• Capability to use classroom technology for instruction.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to state, federal, and local laws, policies and procedures.
• Assist students individually or in small groups to master assignments.
• Collaborate with EITs to tailor strategies and leverage technology as needed.
• Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, buses, and during field trips.
• Enforce school policies and coordinate with teachers.
• Present subject matter under guidance of teachers using various delivery methods.
• Assist with attendance, portfolios, paperwork, and materials organization.
• Prepare lesson materials, displays, equipment, and demonstrations.
• Participate in daily transportation duties for arrival and departure.
• Attend professional development and other meetings.
