Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher education equivalent required.
• Two years of higher education (48 credits) required or equivalent.
• Ability to pass WorkKeys assessment and 96 hours of in‑service training.
• Completion of NC DOL Teacher Assistant Apprenticeship Program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist children individually or in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Collaborate with EITs to tailor strategies for each student.
• Supervise students in classrooms, halls, and on field trips.
• Prepare lesson materials and organize classroom spaces.
• Support attendance procedures and record keeping.
