Job summary

The Salvation Army Fresno Thrift Store is seeking a dedicated part-time Sales Associate/Material Handler to join our Retail Team. You will greet customers and donors, stock merchandise, and keep the store clean and organized while following cash handling policies and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include processing transactions, assisting with donations, and supporting team goals, with flexible scheduling that may include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be able to accurately handle POS/Cash Register operations and cash transactions.
• Must pass background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors, provide prompt, courteous assistance.
• Stock priced items and merchandise on sales floor.
• Maintain store and donation area cleanliness and organization; perform cleaning duties as assigned.
• Follow POS/Cash Register Policies in line with TSA policies and procedures.
• Maintain safety and compliance standards.
• Attend monthly store meetings.
