Job summary

Carroll Community College is seeking a part-time Testing Center Proctor to support placement assessments, exams, and accommodations in a secure, fast-paced environment. You will schedule tests, handle payments, collaborate with faculty and staff, and maintain accurate records while delivering excellent service to students and the campus community.

This position reports to the Coordinator, Testing Center, and may include evenings and varying shifts; minimum HS diploma, proctor certification, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Successfully complete proprietary proctor certification test upon hire.
• One year’s experience in customer service.
• Two years’ experience in data entry.
• Excellent MS Office skills including Word, Outlook, and file management.

Responsibilities

• Proctor students via security camera and by direct supervision including remote proctoring.
• Initiate proprietary tests, give directions, and enforce security requirements.
• Maintain proprietary software (upload/download files).
• Use proprietary software (Pearson, Vue, CLEP, Accuplacer, PAX, Certiport, NHA, VetMedTeam, ALEKS) to administer tests.
• Maintain certifications in proprietary software.
• Use Ellucian, Outlook, Excel, and Word for administering tests, data entry, and/or word processing.
• Use multi-line telephone systems and the testing center inbox to schedule testing appointments and triage and field questions.
• Copy, scan and/or print documents related to placement and the business office and forward documents to the appropriate personnel.
• File new and completed tests.
• Collaborate with faculty regarding testing needs.
• Maintain security of the area at the end of the business day.
• Clean used workstations at the end of the day.
• Receives and tracks payments and interacts with Business Office daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
