Job summary

FirstBank PR is seeking a Service Representative (Teller) for a part-time role in Puerto Rico. You will handle daily banking transactions, identify product needs, and guide customers to banking channels while maintaining regulatory compliance and cash controls.

Ideal candidates have 6 months to 1 year of sales or customer service experience, basic math skills, and strong communication. Bilingual is preferred; availability for holidays and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in a sales or customer service environment.
• Minimum of 24 credits toward an associate or bachelor's degree, or coursework related to banking.
• Combination of practical experience and relevant training may qualify.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Experience working with cash registers, preferred.
• Excellent communication and written skills.
• Fully bilingual preferable.
• Computer literate in MS Office, Internet, and banking tools.
• Available to work holidays, weekends, and flexible schedules.
• Organized, detail oriented and able to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Attend and process daily paying and receiving transactions.
• Identify customer product and service needs and refer accordingly.
• Provide service following satisfaction standards.
• Comply with regulatory requirements (BSA, AML, OFAC).
• Balance cash at end of day and close procedures.
• Complete FINCEN 104 and CTR forms as defined in procedures.
• Assist branch growth by applying Sales Culture and OSS program.
• Educate customers on alternative banking channels to reduce in-branch transactions.
