Job summary

First Interstate BancSystem, Inc. is seeking a part-time Teller for our Belgrade, MT branch. The role involves processing daily teller transactions in both lobby and drive-up locations and delivering outstanding client service while developing client relationships.

Responsibilities include handling deposits, payments, and cash transactions, answering questions, and processing referrals to bankers. The position emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to bank procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Process deposits, loan payments, checks, cash withdrawals, and cashier’s checks.
• Answer client questions in person and by phone.
• Handle additional transactions and prepare currency transaction reports as needed.
• Identify cross-sell and referral opportunities and direct clients to a banker.
• Record activities and referrals using the bank’s systems.
• Assist with safe-deposit box procedures and other routine requests.
• Maintain accuracy in cash drawer and adhere to security procedures.
