Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Cost Engineer for the Corpus Christi LNG project in Houston, TX. You will perform cost estimating, analysis and control activities for non-routine work, develop cost studies, review trends, and implement project cost-control requirements.

The role is designated as part-time telework and requires at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project, with schedules determined in coordination with leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 3–5 years of cost engineering experience.
• Experience with cost estimation, cost control, and cost analysis.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Understanding of engineering, procurement, contracting, construction, and startup processes.

Responsibilities

• Performs generally non-routine cost estimating, analysis, and control activities.
• Supports Change Manager with trend estimate and line details.
• Coordinates the implementation of cost monitoring and control standards, techniques, systems, and reports.
• Coordinates the development and accuracy of cost reports.
• Verifies consistency with previous reports to ensure compatibility and consistency.
• Prepares specific budgets and trend uploads according to standard procedures.
