Job summary

The City of Page invites applications for a Teen Services and Programming Coordinator to lead engaging library programs for teens aged 12–18. The role focuses on fostering learning, creativity, leadership, and civic engagement within a welcoming, inclusive environment.

The Coordinator will partner with schools and community organizations to expand opportunities and promote library resources while coordinating teen advisory groups and special events.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma and relevant experience preferred.
  • 1 year of children’s recreation experience preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience working with teens in a library, school, recreation, education, or youth development setting preferred.
  • Experience planning programs and events.
  • Experience with outreach and community partnerships.
  • Maintain or obtain First Aid and CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and implement engaging programs for teens.
  • Create programs that promote literacy, STEM/STEAM, technology, life skills, workforce readiness, health, arts, and leadership.
  • Build meaningful relationships with teen patrons and encourage active participation in library programs and services.
  • Maintain a safe, welcoming environment for all teens.
  • Coordinate teen advisory groups and leadership initiatives.
  • Facilitate community service and volunteer opportunities for teens.
  • Develop civic engagement opportunities and partnerships with local organizations.
  • Represent the library at community events, schools, and outreach activities.
  • Promote teen programs through social media, newsletters, flyers, and community outreach.
  • Track attendance and evaluate program effectiveness.
