Job summary

Bunker Hill Community College is accepting applications for a Part-Time Non-Benefited Technology Support Services Assistant in Boston, MA. The TSS Assistant will work with the IT team to provide frontline support to students and staff, helping with access to Moodle and core College applications and keeping labs tidy.

Responsibilities include workstation peripheral replacements, printer maintenance, assisting with login issues, and escalating problems to the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in Apple OSX, Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office 2016 and Windows 10.
• Experience with mobile devices such as laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to follow technical directions.
• Proven ability to work with a diverse student, faculty and staff population.

• Loading paper in printers/replacing toner and ink cartridges.
• Removal of paper jams in printers.

• Help in maintaining clean labs and work areas.
• Alert supervisor of problems or student issues that may not be readily resolvable.
• Power on workstation in lab areas and check for operability and report any malfunctioning equipment to supervisor.
• Assist in issues of student email access.
• Have a high level of customer support as you are helping our students.

Additional Information:

Salary: 10-18hours week @ $20/hr. Part-Time Non-Benefited

Must be available to work between 10 to 18 hours per week Monday-Friday (Saturday and Sunday work may be available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.).
