Adjunct Allied Health Medical Assisting Program

In the Allied Health Department, specifically the Medical Assisting program, perform/ensure the following: Primarily responsible for assisting instructional preparation and teaching of Allied Health medical assisting courses. The Department is looking to hire two Adjuncts from this job posting. This is an in‑person part‑time faculty position.

Responsibilities:

• Provide assistance instructing allied health students in the medical assisting program.
• Assist instructors with evaluating student performance in the classroom and in the lab setting.
• Use new technologies in the classroom (in person and/or remote), as appropriate, to facilitate learning.
• Ensure safety in the laboratory at all times; immediately address any unsafe activity and report it to the instructor.

Requirements:

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
• Maintain expertise and currency in the area of teaching responsibility.
• Associate degree or certificate in Medical Assisting preferable.
• Comply with the duties as stipulated in the Massachusetts Community College Council Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Additional Information:
Salary: $1,397 per credit hour.
