Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Entry Screener Security Officer in Manassas, VA, offering flexible shifts and the chance to work at a technology-focused location.

You will screen visitors and badges, monitor entry points, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining security procedures. A background check and drug screen are required where permitted by law; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigations required under federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals, visitor credentials, packages, and deliveries in accordance with established procedures for a technology-focused location.
• Monitor entry points and control access to restricted areas; report irregularities and security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
