Allied Universal in Chester, VA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Screener) to monitor access points, screen visitors and packages, and maintain a welcoming, secure environment at a technology-focused site.

You will provide courteous customer service, verify credentials, and respond to incidents following established procedures while supporting a visible, professional presence.

Qualifications

• Guard Card or license preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A drug screen will be conducted as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access screening requirements, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Screen individuals and personal belongings using designated screening equipment and procedures, escalating prohibited items, access concerns, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts.
• Verify credentials, badges, and authorization for entry into controlled areas; maintain accurate visitor and screening-related records as required by site policy.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and the surrounding business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
