Job summary

LearnWell in Newington, NH is seeking a passionate part-time teacher to support adolescent students in a behavioral health facility for the 2026-2027 school year. The role involves delivering daily lesson plans, individualized assistance, and monitoring progress within a small classroom.

You will communicate student progress with care, adapt teaching strategies to promote engagement, and maintain attendance and session reports, in a supportive, clinical educational setting.

Qualifications

• B.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institution.
• New Hampshire teaching license.
• Comfortable working with K-12 students.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily lesson plans for adolescent students.

For more than 26 years, we have provided on-site educational services in hospitals, helping these school-age patients continue their education during treatment and reintegrate successfully into the classroom. With a network of over 200 educators, we strive to make a positive impact for generations to come.

Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in Newington, NH on a part-time basis for the 2026-2027 school year. This unique position will involve working in a fast-paced behavioral health facility, providing academic support to adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan and deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Additionally, you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports.

Most of our class sizes range from 8 to 15 school-age patients at any one time.

Position entails a 15-hour a week commitment, Monday-Friday, 9am- 12pm.
