Job summary

LearnWell in Monroe, NC is seeking a passionate teacher to support child and adolescent patients in a behavioral health facility. This part-time, 12-month school-year position offers flexible 20, 25 or 30 hour weeks, Monday–Friday, 12:00pm–4:00pm, with the opportunity to plan and deliver daily lessons and provide individualized student support.

You will monitor progress, communicate outcomes as needed, and maintain attendance and session reports.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution.
• North Carolina teaching license.
• Comfortable working with K-12 students.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs.
• Reliable Transportation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily lesson plans.
• Provide individualized assistance to students.
• Regularly communicate about student progress as needed.
• Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success.
• Maintain accurate attendance and session reports.
• Work with class sizes ranging from 8-15 students.

Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in Monroe, NC on a part-time basis for a 12-month school year. This unique position will involve working in a fast-paced behavioral health facility, providing academic support to child and adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan and deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Additionally, you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Most of our class sizes range from 8-15 school-age patients at any one time.

Position entails a 20, 25 or 30 hour a week commitment (depending on candidate preference), Monday-Friday, 12:00pm to 4:00pm.
