Job summary

LearnWell in Monroe, NC seeks a passionate part-time teacher to support 8–15 pediatric patients in a behavioral health setting. The role runs 20 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 7:30am–11:30am, across a 12-month school year, delivering daily lessons and progress updates.

You will tailor instruction, monitor progress, and maintain attendance and session reports within a small classroom, collaborating with a clinical team to support student learning during treatment.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution.
• North Carolina teaching license.
• Comfortable working with K-12 students.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily lesson plans.
• Provide individualized assistance to students.
• Communicate student progress regularly as needed.
• Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success.
• Maintain accurate attendance and session reports.
• Work with small class sizes of 8–15 students.
