Job description

WBAL NewsRadio 1090 and FM 101.5, in Baltimore, Maryland, has an immediate opening for a creative, energetic Part-Time Talk Show/Sports Producer. We are looking for a detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and reliable individual who is knowledgeable about news, current events, and sports. The candidate should be able to manage deadlines effectively and be available to work flexible schedules required by the multimedia and broadcast industry. This is an opportunity to join one of the premier radio stations in the country, with 97 years of heritage in the Baltimore-Metro region. The candidate will report to the Assistant Program Director. The salary range is $20.00 - $21.50.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintaining studio operations during duty hours
• Ensuring FCC compliance and proper transmitter operation
• Keeping logs of aired commercial inventory
• Recording, editing, and uploading audio content as required
• Supporting sports partnerships as needed

Experience and Skills:

• Experience with Adobe Audition or similar programs preferred
• Familiarity with Wide Orbit Automation Software or similar radio inventory management software is a plus
• Audio editing skills or willingness to learn
• Understanding of or eagerness to learn about on-air studio operations
• Excellent time management and focus, especially during deadline-driven situations
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including late evenings, overnights, and weekends
