Bass Pro Shops in Augusta, GA is seeking a Switchboard Operator / Receptionist for the part-time front desk role. You will answer and direct incoming calls, assist customers and associates, and handle basic clerical tasks.

This position requires a High School diploma or equivalent, friendly communication, and the ability to operate a POS and PBX system to support store operations and scheduling. Join a team with a focus on excellent customer service and store knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent experience is required.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers and customers.
• Ability to operate computerized POS register system and PBX system.

Responsibilities

• Answers and directs incoming phone calls in a prompt, friendly and outgoing manner.
• Handles customer and associate questions and requests.
• Distributes applications to prospective new associates.
• Coordinates and schedules appointments for Management.
• Files, copies and performs other clerical assignments as needed.
• Maintains associate bulletin boards; posts schedules and keeps them current.
• Remains familiar with store layout and product knowledge.
• Keeps work area clean, neat and well stocked with supplies.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.
