Job summary

American Fork City is seeking an Assistant Swimming Coach for a part-time, onsite role. You will support a safe, structured training environment and help athletes build skill, confidence, and long-term growth, working with the coaching staff to deliver sessions aligned to seasonal objectives.

Key duties include coaching assigned groups, deck supervision, supporting planning, continuity across age groups, keeping clear practice documentation and athlete records.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years coaching experience (year-round or summer recreation leagues).
• Strong communication and athlete-development mindset.
• USA Swimming background check.
• American Red Cross Coaches Safety, CPR/AED, and First Aid Certifications.
• APT training; Concussion protocol training; USADA Coach’s Tutorial.
• ASCA Levels 1–2; USA Swimming Rules and Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coach assigned groups and provide deck supervision during practices.
• Support seasonal planning and execution of daily/weekly training progressions.
• Step in to coach other age groups as needed to ensure continuity.
• Maintain clear, timely practice documentation and athlete records.
