Job summary

City of Idaho Falls is seeking Swim Lesson Instructors to provide leadership, instruction, and motivation for swim lesson participants at the Aquatic Center. The role focuses on safety, class management, and customer service, with hours typically under 20 per week and potential evening or weekend shifts.

The instructor will work under supervision from the Aquatics Specialist, Supervisor, Head Lifeguard, and Manager, delivering engaging lessons and maintaining a clean, safe environment for all

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years or older.
• High maturity level and proven record of responsibility.
• Knowledge of and ability to demonstrate swim lesson instruction.
• Ability to interact with the general public.

Responsibilities

• Instruct swim lesson participants and ensure safety for all in assigned classes.
• Start and end classes on time, evaluate students, and communicate with parents.
• Handle equipment, complete required paperwork for each class, and maintain professional appearance.
• Attend mandatory meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
