Job summary

The City of Idaho Falls Aquatic Center is seeking a part-time Swim Lesson Instructor to lead and motivate participants in swim lessons and to uphold a safe, clean environment. Instructors work under supervision and may have evening shifts and Saturdays, ensuring quality instruction and timely class start/end times.

Requirements include the ability to work with diverse ages, professional interaction with families, and CPR/First Aid/WSI certification (or to obtain within 30 days).

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years or older with responsible conduct.
• Certifications in CPR, First Aid, and WSI preferred or to be obtained within 30 days.
• Ability to communicate with swimmers and parents in a friendly, professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Instruct swim lessons and ensure the safety of all participants in assigned classes.
• Start and end classes on time; evaluate students; communicate with parents and swimmers.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and complete required lesson records.
