Job summary

Swim-in Zone is seeking energetic, organized Swim-inStructors/Teachers to lead children through our curriculum with a focus on safety and fun. Instructors will engage kids, communicate clearly, and maintain class flow, while upholding our safety standards.

Ideal candidates have lifeguard and CPR/First Aid certifications, experience with children, and the ability to adapt lessons. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401k with a family-friendly work environment.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard certification (renew every 2 years).
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications (renew every 2 years).
• Online module training including Basic 7 (renew yearly).
• Clearances for Child Abuse, Criminal Record and FBI fingerprint (renew every 5 years).
• Experience working with children (preferably under 11).
• Teaching, instructor, trainer, or mentor skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and procedures with safety training materials.
• Follow all basic safety rules and wear your whistle.
• Oversee class transitions and lead sessions.
• Call students and bring them to the water; instructor or aide in water first.
• Maintain Swim-in Zone curriculum and communicate it clearly at all levels.
• Provide Swim-in Zone level customer service to parents.
