Job summary

Noah's Ark Swim School LLC in Southbury, CT is seeking a part-time Swim Instructor to deliver laid-out curriculum, promote water safety, and help students build confidence in the water.

You will work with kids in a fun, supportive environment, provide feedback, and participate in ongoing training to develop teaching skills and keep up-to-date with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in the water for up to 3 hours.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of each student and teach swim skills using our curriculum.
• Build water confidence in students and encourage them to reach their best.
• Communicate regularly with students and staff; accept feedback and continually learn.
• Report to the Deck Supervisor or Site Supervisor during shifts and support the pool deck as needed.

As a swim instructor you are responsible for the safety of each student and for teaching swim skills to students using our curriculum. You will work to build water confidence within your students, encouraging each student to rise to the best of their abilities. You can expect to be regularly communicating with students and fellow staff members. You should be someone who welcomes feedback and is a continuous learner. As a swim instructor you will report to the Deck Supervisor or Site Supervisor during shifts and provide support throughout the pool deck as needed.

We have a fun and rewarding work environment with a great atmosphere for someone who loves teaching and being around water. We provide training. Starting wage is based on prior experience training evaluation. This is a part-time position that offers morning, afternoon/evening and weekend shifts.
