Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Boston is seeking a Swim Instructor I & II to teach swim lessons at the Waltham YMCA. Under the Aquatics Director, you will deliver lessons, ensure safety, and communicate progress to parents.

This part-time role requires reliable attendance and a strong commitment to child-centered programming. Ideal candidates have prior swim-instruction experience, CPR/First Aid certification, and the ability to work flexible hours including weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching swim lessons.
• Ability to work with children and families.
• Commitment to YMCA safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Teach swim lessons following YMCA model.
• Prepare equipment and set up classes on time.
• Maintain class attendance and track progress.
• Ensure safety and supervision for all participants.
• Communicate with parents about child progress.
• Attend required trainings and follow branch policies.
