Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Boston is seeking a part-time Swim Instructor I & II at the Waltham YMCA. In this role, you will teach swim lessons under the YMCA model, provide excellent member service, and ensure safe, engaging classes for children and families.

You will report to the Aquatics Director, coordinate class times, track attendance, and communicate student progress to parents. Requires CPR/First Aid and YMCA certification prerequisites; shifts may include mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching swim lessons and enjoy working with people, especially children.
• Must be able to interact with members and staff.
• Must be able to start and end classes on time and manage attendance.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent member service by exceeding member expectations.
• Teach swim lessons under YMCA of the USA model.
• Maintain safety and supervision during classes.
• Communicate child’s progress with parents regularly.
• Attend required trainings and safety drills.
