Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is hiring a Swim Instructor II in Atlanta, GA. The part-time role focuses on delivering group, private, and adaptive swim lessons to diverse ages and skill levels under the guidance of the Aquatics Director.

Responsibilities include creating lesson plans, providing feedback, and ensuring a safe, encouraging learning environment. Training and CPR/First Aid certifications are required; prior experience with students is preferred.

Qualifications

• YMCA Swim Instructor certification or equivalent is required.
• CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, First Aid certifications required.
• Experience with teaching swim to various ages and abilities preferred.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods for different learning styles and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Instruct group, private, and adaptive swim lessons.
• Create and implement age/level appropriate lesson plans.
• Maintain safe and positive learning environment and monitor student behavior.
• Record attendance and progress as required; manage equipment and records.
