Job summary

YMCA of Metro Denver is seeking a Part-time Swim Instructor to lead engaging lessons for all ages, building confidence and water safety. You will create an inclusive learning space, communicate clearly with families, and support a flexible schedule that fits student life and class demand.

As part of a supportive aquatics team, you’ll receive training, CPR/First Aid assistance if needed, and the benefit of a free or discounted YMCA membership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 16 years of age.
• Swim Lesson Certification obtained within first 3 months of working.
• Listen First within 6 months of hire or an action plan in place.
• CPR/AED and First Aid within 30 days of hire.
• Strong communication and listening skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging swim lessons for children and/or adults of all skill levels.
• Create a safe, inclusive learning environment and reinforce water safety.
• Maintain daily attendance and track progress on level skill sheets.
• Be visible to members and communicate class schedules or changes with parents.
