Job summary

YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is looking for a Swim Coach to lead beginner to advanced swimming instruction at the Haselwood Family YMCA in Silverdale, WA. You will plan lessons, conduct practices, and track swimmer progression in alignment with YMCA standards.

The role requires 1–2 years of related experience, an active coaching style, and ability to engage youth from diverse backgrounds. Part-time hours support flexible scheduling and community impact.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years related experience preferred.
• Active recreational coaching style.
• Experience with youth programs and diverse populations desired.
• Ability to coach and observe participants in proper stroke techniques.

Responsibilities

• Safely conduct swimming practices following YMCA guidelines.
• Submit athlete meet information using Team Manager software.
• Maintain accurate attendance and skill progression records.
• Answer parent questions and support aquatics program.
