The role reports to the Surgical Technology Program Director and requires current CST credentials, an associate degree, and teaching experience

Qualifikationen

• Associate degree in Surgical Technology (AS/AA) or equivalent preferred.
• Current CST credential required by NBSTSA.
• Teaching experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Teach Surgical Technology laboratory courses and implement curriculum objectives as directed.
• Provide hands-on instruction and demonstrations of surgical skills (instrumentation, sterile technique, procedures).
• Supervise students during lab practice and competency assessments.
• Prepare, administer, and evaluate exams and skills check-offs.
• Provide feedback to support student learning and maintain progress records.
• Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and competencies.
• Develop lesson plans and lab activities aligned with program outcomes.
• Assist in selecting instructional materials and maintaining labs.
• Identify student learning needs and provide remediation as needed.
• Promote professionalism and patient safety in the healthcare environment.
