Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College invites applications for adjunct faculty positions. These are temporary, part-time roles created to build a pool of qualified candidates as needed.

Instructors will create a learning environment aligned with common syllabi and provide effective instruction and assessment. Responsibilities include teaching contracted courses, developing syllabi, maintaining records, and supporting students outside class time.

Qualifications

• Possesses an earned baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Is a Certified Surgical Technologist, (or CNOR prior to 2003).
• Has one year of clinical experience in the operating room (three years for program chairs).

Responsibilities

• Teach all instructional duties to facilitate student learning in assigned classes.
• Provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) being taught and follow syllabus content.
• Maintain attendance and grading records according to College policy.
• Be available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions.
• Use technology such as Canvas and PowerPoint as appropriate.
