Ivy Tech Community College invites applications for adjunct faculty positions. These are temporary, part-time roles hired each semester on an as-needed basis to build a pool of qualified candidates for future openings as Adjunct Instructors.

Responsibilities include creating a learning environment, providing instruction and assessment within common syllabi, and using technologies like Canvas. Candidates should possess a relevant degree, experience, and health-care licensure as applicable.

Qualifications

• Earned baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years directly related work experience.
• Holds certification or licensure in a health care discipline providing care or service directly to patients.

Responsibilities

• Create a learning environment to help students reach goals and provide effective instruction and assessment.
• Teach assigned classes and prepare syllabus aligned with course requirements.
• Maintain attendance and grading records per college policy.
• Be available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions.
• Meet scheduled classes and use Canvas, PowerPoint, and similar technologies.
• Notify program/chair in case of emergencies or absences.
