Job summary

Northern Ohio Center in Cleveland, OH is seeking a part-time Surgical Technologist (2-3 days per week, 16-24 hour average) to assist in operating room procedures under surgeons and RNs.

Responsibilities include preparing equipment, setting up the OR, maintaining sterile technique, passing instruments, assisting with patient prep and recovery, and adhering to hospital regulations. CPR certification required; 0-2 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification preferred but not required.
• Must be CPR certified.
• 0-2 years of clinical experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures.
• Sets up the operating room with instruments, sterile drapes, and supplies.
• Tends to patient during pre-operation and helps prepare skin, equipment, and beds.
• Passes instruments and supplies to surgeons and assistants.
• Assists with patient transfer to the recovery area and cleans/restocks the OR.

Education

Graduate of accredited surgical tech program

Armed Forces training program for surgical technologists
