Job summary

Novant Health's Huntersville Medical Center is seeking a Part-Time Surgical Technologist to support operating room teams. The role involves preparing ORs, arranging sterile equipment, and assisting doctors during surgeries with a focus on patient safety.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, completed Surgical Technology training, and CST/TS-C/NRCST/SA-C certification (SC region requirements apply). A strong emphasis on customer service and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; graduates from accredited Surgical Technology programs preferred.
• Graduate of accredited Surgical Technology program or Military Training Equivalent (68D).
• Current Surgical Tech Certification (CST, TS-C, NRCST, or SA-C) preferred; SC region cert required where applicable.
• Ability to complete skill validation, competency testing, and demonstrate strong customer service, communication, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing operating rooms and arranging sterile equipment for procedures.
• Support surgeons and nurses to ensure sterile technique and patient safety during invasive procedures.
• Maintain and verify proper functioning of surgical equipment and OR environment.
