RWJBarnabas Health in Morris Cancer Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Surgical Oncology unit. This 32-bed unit provides private rooms for a variety of surgical and intermediate care cases. The role offers a Part-Time Day Shift (7:00 a.m.

to 7:30 p.m.) with weekend/holiday rotations and a 36-hour week to support patient relationships and work-life balance. Responsibilities include assessments, medication administration, documentation in EPIC, and collaboration with

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• BLS Certification required.
• BSN strongly preferred or to be completed within 5 years of hire.
• ACLS certification preferred or within 6 months of employment.
• Prior 1 year of acute care RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes.
• Administer safe, evidence-based medications and hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families clearly and compassionately.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC EMR to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care transitions.
• Support a collaborative, team-based work environment and professional growth.
