RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical-Surgical Unit-IV at the New Brunswick main hospital. This part-time, day-shift role offers 36 hours per week, with weekend and holiday rotations, in an 31-bed oncology unit serving medical-surgical and intermediate care cases.

You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, administer evidence-based medications, collaborate with physicians and the care team, document in EPIC, and participate in rounds and education to

Qualifications

• Active NJ RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Bachelor's in Nursing preferred or to be completed within 5 years of hire.
• ACLS and National Board Certification preferred or obtained within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and detect changes.
• Administer medications and provide hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families to prepare for next steps.
• Document accurately in EPIC EMR for continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and ensure smooth transitions.
