RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Per Diem Day Shift Registered Nurse for the Morris Cancer Center's Oncology Unit - MCC-9 in New Brunswick, NJ.

Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, administering meds, documenting in EPIC, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality cancer care. Requires NJ RN license, BLS, and 1 year acute care experience; ACLS/BSN preferred. Per diem schedule with day shifts, weekends, and holidays as assigned.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• BLS certification required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred or completed within 5 years of hire.
• ACLS Certification preferred or to be obtained within 6 months of employment.
• 1 year of acute care RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications and hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers for timely, well-coordinated care decisions.
• Educate patients and families to support informed decisions and continuity of care.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure patient safety.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to improve care transitions.
• Contribute to a collaborative team culture with shared accountability.
• Pursue ongoing professional growth through continuing education and clinical ladder opportunities.
