Job summary

OhioHealth in Grove City, OH seeks a part-time Surgical Technologist to assist in the OR, providing exposure, hemostasis, and instrument handling under surgeon guidance. 24 hours per week, Monday through Friday with a rotating day off and call-stay.

Qualifications include an Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology, BLS, and CST certification. A sign-on bonus of $7500 is available with a one-year commitment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Surgical Technology.
• BLS certification required by AHA.
• CST certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to the surgeon providing exposure, hemostasis, and other technical skills.
• Provides wound exposure through proper use of retractors so surgeon may clearly view operative site.
• Through use of suction and sponges, provides a dry field of operation to permit optimum vision of tissue, viscera, vessels, etc.
• Provides hemostasis by use of clamps, cautery, ligation.
• Completes closure of fascia, subcutaneous tissue and skin under the direction of the surgeon.
• Competent in 4-6 service lines, one of which must be advanced orthopedics, soft tissue robotics, complex cardiovascular, or neurosurgery (cranial).
• Assumes other tasks of a similar nature or level of responsibility when assigned by supervising physician.
• As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality and efficiency in performing job duties.
