Job summary

Advocate Health in Milwaukee seeks a part-time Education Specialist for Surgical Services to orient and train scrub, surgical technologists and surgical assistants, ensuring policy compliance and effective on-the-job training.

You will develop in-service programs, coordinate learning needs with specialty coordinators and the Clinical Nurse Specialist, and promote high-quality patient care through education initiatives.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond High School in Surgical Technology.
• Typically requires 5 years of experience in surgery including technologist/assistant.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA) certification required; CSFA/SA-C/CSA options listed.

Responsibilities

• Orient new and current Scrub, Surgical Technologist and Surgical Assistant staff to policies and procedures.
• Develop and deliver in-service and continuing education programs.
• Coordinate learning needs with Specialty Coordinators and Clinical Nurse Specialist.
