Job summary

Fastenal Co. is hiring a Part-time Supply Chain Associate in Roxboro, NC. The role focuses on inventory control, procurement, quoting, and coordinating resources to meet customer needs at the Roxboro branch.

The position supports B2B operations, with a potential flexible schedule after onboarding and performance goals are met. It requires a driver’s license and ability to lift up to 75 lbs; work is performed at the Durham Rd location.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and able to operate a company vehicle.
• Driver's license with acceptable driving record per state requirements.
• Pursuing or holding a degree in business, supply chain, operations, management, marketing, sales or related field OR have customer service or industry-related work experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Highly motivated, self-directed and customer-service oriented.
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities.
• Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills.
• Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and up to 75lbs.
• Pass the required drug screen (US, Puerto Rico, Guam).

Responsibilities

• Managing branch inventory levels
• Administering procurement functions, including purchase orders and backorder management
• Estimating/quoting prices and sourcing product
• Coordinating resources to respond to customer supply chain needs
• Supporting accounts receivable activities
• Making deliveries with a company vehicle as necessary
• Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch success
