Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Gardner, KS is seeking a Part-time Supply Chain Associate to help manage branch inventory and support procurement, sourcing, and quoting for local customers. The role runs at 829 E Warren St, Gardner, KS 66030 with shifts Mon-Fri, 9:00am–2:00pm, up to 28 hours/week.

The position may offer flexibility after onboarding based on performance. Applicants must be 18+, hold a valid driver's license, and show strong math and communication skills with a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Possess or be working towards a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales or related field OR have customer service or industry experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Lift, slide, carry, and lower packages up to 75 lbs; typical weights 25–50 lbs.
• Pass drug screen where required.

Responsibilities

• Manage branch inventory levels.
• Administer procurement functions including purchase orders and backorders.
• Estimate/quote prices and source products.
• Coordinate resources to respond to customer supply chain needs.
• Support accounts receivable activities.
• Make deliveries with a company vehicle as needed.
• Perform other duties to ensure branch success.
