Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking a Part-time Supply Chain Associate in San Leandro, CA to support branch inventory, procurement, quoting, and customer service for B2B operations.

You will coordinate resources, assist accounts receivable, and occasionally make deliveries with a company vehicle, contributing to branch success and timely solutions.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Have a valid driver’s license and ability to meet driving record requirements for a company vehicle.
• Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales or related field OR relevant experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Self-motivated, customer-service oriented with a sense of urgency.
• Strong math aptitude and attention to detail.
• Good organization, planning and prioritizing abilities.
• Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Manage branch inventory levels.
• Administer procurement functions, including PO management and backorders.
• Estimate/quote prices and source products.
• Coordinate resources to respond to customer supply chain needs.
• Support accounts receivable activities.
• Make deliveries with a company vehicle as needed.
• Perform other duties to ensure branch success.
